Our Team at Conquer the Wall Marathon was started with the dream of allowing international and Chinese runners the opportunity to run/experience as much of the Great Wall of China as possible. There are many Great Wall marathons to choose from. “Conquer the Wall” has zero road sections and spends more than 90% of the event running on the wall. It is organized by North American ultrarunners. We try to bring some of the US conveniences and flavor in hopes of making your race experience the best possible. This is our 3rd year putting on this event, and 2nd time in Jinshanling. After the conclusion, please let us know the good, bad and ugly. We would like to see this race grow. We think it is the best marathon available on the Great Wall.

Ken | Photographer
Born in the Seattle area, I was exposed to all the wonders of the great Pacific Northwest. Swimming, camping, water skiing in the summer. Mountains, snow and skiing in the winter. In high school, I was in the Photography Club. In the late 1980s I started to gain interest again in photography when I purchased my first 35MM SLR, the Ricoh XR-P. It was a great camera and advanced for its time. I mostly took pictures of my kids, people, places, and cars back then. Since then, I’ve owned and used a Nikon F3 HP, F3 P, FA, F5, FM 2, D700, Coolpix P7700, D750, Df, and D810, and my iPhone 7 Plus. My current interests are still mostly traveling, from China, South Korea, Sweden, Thailand, USA, Cambodia, Fiji, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka. I love to capture all the great moments of the Conquer the Wall Marathon.
